Session Overview
In recent months, new developments in generative artificial intelligence (AI) have been emerging at breakneck speed—captivating the curiosity of consumers and agencies alike. While tools like ChatGPT, DALL·E 2, and more create a world of opportunities, they also introduce a host of pressing legal and practical risks.
In this session, Paavana Kumar and Michael Lasky will cover how these new technologies—built on machine learning algorithms—could fundamentally change the marketing and communications industry and share best practices for considering their usage as business tools.
Examples from actual searches will be analyzed to understand how to use generative AI while minimizing potential legal liabilities and infringement claims. Discussion will also include how client and vendor contracts should be revised to take into account the use of generative AI.
PRSA National Capital Chapter (NCC) advances the communications profession in the Washington, D.C. area by fostering collaboration, enhancing knowledge and skills, and creating connections through robust, up-to-date, and inclusive educational, networking, and professional growth opportunities.
