Although the business case for diversity, equity, and inclusion practices (DEI) is stronger and more critical than ever, there have been a string of high-profile lawsuits and scrutiny of DEI policies following the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to strike down affirmative action in college admissions. Gary Kibel was quoted in the WSJ article titled, “Marketers Maintain Focus on Diversity Despite Outside Pressures” expressing that these lawsuits hint at a battle over legality that will likely end in another Supreme Court case.
