Session Overview
Faculty will discuss novel legal issues and key compliance shifts to be aware of, including:
- An overview of new core use cases for agentic AI in consumer-facing contexts – including campaign optimization, hyper-personalization and facilitating start-to-end transactions. Faculty will compare how existing regulatory frameworks apply to these evolving technologies and share predictions for future federal and state enforcement
- On overview of the core legal and ethical concerns implicated by the use of both generative and agentic AI systems such as intellectual property, deceptive practices and confidentiality and privacy concerns
- A deep dive into how and why agentic AI raises the stakes with respect to these legal issues, such as with respect to innately biased or deceptive consumer communications, heightened privacy and data risks, contractual and operational liability, and the allocation of risks between brands and their AI vendors
- A walkthrough of several hypotheticals illustrating potential use cases and attendant risks for companies adopting agentic AI tools. Faculty will share key takeaways and tips for adopting a proactive governance strategy
