On Thursday, April 18, Davis+Gilbert is hosting a PR Council lunch seminar titled “Hot Topics in Privacy and Data Security: California Consumer Privacy Act & Digital Media” to be held at the firm’s office in New York. Gary Kibel, Davis+Gilbert Privacy + Data Security partner will present. This program will also be offered as a webinar.

Overview

With the enactment of the new California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other pending legislation in the U.S., not to mention GDPR, those who collect and process personal information have more compliance obligations than ever. In addition, other states and the federal government are considering new privacy laws. This session will explore recent developments dealing with privacy and data security that are applicable to the public relations industry.
