NYC SHRM | Legal Considerations Around Supporting Working Parents Through the Great Re-think of COVID and Beyond

On January 25, Sharon Cohen, Labor + Employment Partner, will be speaking on a webinar entitled “Legal Considerations Around Supporting Working Parents Through the Great Re-think of COVID and Beyond” at the NYC SHRM Legal & Legislative Conference. Sharon will be joined by speakers Alexis Axelrad from Barst, Charlie Bonello from Vivvi, Teri Bouchard from Axiom and Lauren Smith Brody from The Fifth Trimester.

Session Overview

How do you retain stressed-out, talented working parents through the Great Resignation; and how do you innovate alongside them toward a Great Reimagining of work? The webinar will include a focus on how employers can establish inclusive policies that are supportive of working parents, with a focus on legal obligations, how to provide leave and other equitable policies and other programs/policies. With an emphasis on both the legal obligations and growth opportunities of the present economic moment, the speakers will analyze the benefits and culture, endorsed by evidence-backed research on the ROI for caregiver support, that build equity, prevent discrimination and keep women and parents in the pipeline to leadership.
