Mansfield is a year-long, structured certification process that we have participated in since 2021 to further the firm’s commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the legal profession.

The Mansfield Certification, facilitated by Diversity Lab, recognizes the structural changes and actions we have taken to diversify leadership in our firm by broadening the slate of talent considered for internal leadership roles and increasing transparency with written and accessible advancement processes and role descriptions. We have experienced positive progress at our firm since we joined Mansfield, and we remain committed to taking measurable actions to ensure that our processes are — and remain — inclusive.
Our Certification “Plus” status indicates that, in addition to successfully meeting the consideration and transparency requirements, our firm has achieved 30% representation of historically underrepresented lawyers in current leadership roles and pathway activities. To achieve our Plus designation, we voluntarily provided data to Diversity Lab to show the progress and outcomes of our efforts to broaden talent pools and increase the visibility of our advancement processes. This transparency allows us and Diversity Lab to celebrate progress and identify areas with continued opportunities for improvement. Since our original Mansfield Plus Certification, we have experienced positive progress in Mansfield-related areas and hope to continue to do so as we track these categories in the future.
