Part high-powered mergers and acquisitions lawyer, part trusted business consigliere, Curt Myers helps clients solve problems that impact both long-term strategic goals and day-to-day operations. As co-chair of the firm’s Corporate + Transactions Practice Group, he leads teams that advise a wide range of businesses focused on marketing, media, technology, manufacturing and other sectors in the United States and around the world.
Drawing on more than 30 years of deal experience, Curt counsels clients on business-critical purchases, sales and mergers, as well as debt and equity investment financing. Beyond the technical aspects of these transactions, Curt makes it a point to understand the "whys" that drive them so he can give pragmatic, goal-focused counsel. He has been the architect of strategic transactions that have helped clients grow from start-ups to multibillion-dollar multinationals.
For many clients, Curt acts as a de facto general counsel, advising on large commercial contracts, executive employment agreements, equity incentive plans and general corporate matters. He is known for getting straight to the heart of issues to address problems efficiently and effectively. Curt is deeply invested in his clients’ success and often introduces them to professionals and opportunities outside the legal arena to help further their business goals.
In assembling client teams, Curt ensures that each group includes the right mix of skills, experience, approach and personality to make the transaction and the overall experience successful. He traces his personal touch and partnering mindset to his early career experience as a manager for entertainers and media personalities.
