Adweek | 4 Implications of Google’s Landmark Antitrust Loss

Earlier this year, the Department of Justice issued an antitrust lawsuit against Google, aiming to decrease the engine’s search market, opening opportunities for its competitors, and causing major changes in the search industry. With Google now facing another antitrust lawsuit focused on its adtech stack, what does this mean for the tech giant and industry as a whole?

Davis+Gilbert Privacy, Technology + Data Security partner Gary Kibel was quoted in this Adweek article, “4 Implications of Google’s Landmark Antitrust Loss.”

In the article, Gary is quoted discussing how the two lawsuits may impact each other. While the two lawsuits happening so close together are interesting, Gary confirms “the court is going to look at the facts independently. One way that it could directly bleed over is if it’s the same people and same business practices of getting into exclusive deals.”
