Session Overview
This workshop – closing out ACI’s 7th Annual Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance Forum on Advertising Claims Substantiation – will provide attendees with a comprehensive guide to utilizing non-traditional social media marketing tactics (influencer marketing, online celebrity endorsements, consumer reviews and more) while staying diligent in their compliance with the latest regulatory guidance and concerns.
Paavana Kumar (Partner, Advertising + Marketing) will begin the session with a deep dive discussion of the FTC’s updated Endorsement Guides and best practices related to new guidance on definition of types of endorsements and endorsers, proper disclosures, consumer review practices, and other pressing topics. Paavana will be joined by Amy Kingham (Compliance Manager, PromoVeritas), Emily Faro (Associate, ReedSmith) and Lee Baumgardner (Senior Counsel, Commercial Legal & Business Affairs, WPP).
