Gregg Gilman, Davis+Gilbert partner and Labor + Employment co-chair, and Gary Kibel, Davis+Gilbert Privacy + Data Security partner will speak on two panels at the 2020 ICSC U.S Law Conference on October 14 – 16.
Gary Kibel will speak on a panel titled “Privacy and Data Security Issues for Landlords and Tenants — AKA How to Survive CCPA” on October 14. This session will explore CCPA and other privacy obligations and how the retail industry interrupted, and complied with, those provisions and how those provisions impacted business.
Gregg Gilman will speak on a panel titled “Respect and Dignity in the Workplace — How to Prevent a Toxic Environment” on October 15. This session will discuss the best practices for employers to prevent a toxic work environment, including tone from the top, training, policies, proper documentation and creating a culture of respect and dignity in the workplace. Additional topics will also address the severe consequences for companies and individuals that create or fail to properly address a toxic work environment, including terminations, civil lawsuits and negative publicity.
