Jason E. Pruzansky is a partner in the Labor & Employment Practice Group of Davis & Gilbert. Mr. Pruzansky’s practice focuses on the full spectrum of labor and employment counseling and litigation, including matters involving federal and state wage/hour law, the FCRA, ERISA, WARN, ADEA, ADA, FMLA, Title VII, NLRA, restrictive covenants, employment contract disputes and wrongful termination. The cases Mr. Pruzansky has litigated in courts and before arbitrators and administrative agencies have ranged from nationwide class actions to single-plaintiff employment matters.

Mr. Pruzansky is also experienced in drafting employment and release agreements, and employee handbooks and policies; conducting internal investigations; and counseling employers on labor and employment law issues, including those that arise in corporate transactions and workforce restructurings. He likewise has deep experience negotiating a wide variety of contracts with his clients’ vendors and service providers.

Mr. Pruzansky has been recognized by The Legal 500 United States in the area of labor and employment: workplace and employment counseling (2017). He has authored articles on a variety of employment-related topics that have been featured in publications such as the New York Law Journal and Human Resource Executive Online. While in law school, he was a member of the Fordham Law Review.

Before joining Davis & Gilbert, Mr. Pruzansky was a labor & employment attorney at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP.

REPRESENTATIVE ENGAGEMENTS

  • Obtained dismissal on behalf of an international media company in an action brought on by an employee alleging disability discrimination. Successfully opposed plaintiff’s appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
  • Successfully compelled arbitration of a former employee’s claim on behalf of a major financial institution in a ruling that was affirmed by the Second Circuit.
  • Achieved highly favorable results for a hospitality client in connection with a series of unfair labor practice charges filed with the National Labor Relations Board.
  • Negotiated a collective bargaining agreement with union on behalf of well-known retail client.
  • Favorably settled an unemployment insurance audit on behalf of client for a small fraction of the amount initially sought by the government.
