Overview
Melanie Campbell supports entities of all sizes, from small start-ups to large corporations, in corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, entity formations and shareholder agreements. She contributes to due diligence reviews that enable buyers and sellers to understand their risks and close deals.
Thorough and organized, Melanie is a highly effective team member focused on moving transactions forward from inception through to closing. In complex deals, she collaborates with attorneys across a variety of practice areas to address a range of client concerns including employee benefits, labor and employment, and intellectual property. Whether it is a public or a private company, or a company with few or many shareholders, Melanie also works closely with their management team to ensure the requisite corporate approvals are in place to close the deal.
Melanie tracks every step of a transaction to communicate deliverable statuses and ensure deadlines are met. In addition to due diligence, she drafts and negotiates operative and ancillary agreements and assists clients with their day-to-day corporate questions
Prior to joining Davis+Gilbert, Melanie was an associate at Morgan Lewis & Bockius. Before she became an attorney, she was a senior addictions counselor. Melanie draws on that experience, and the interpersonal and listening skills she gained, to understand each client’s concerns and provide calm, effective and deliberate counsel in high-pressure deal environments.
