“I’ve learned to anticipate my client’s business needs in order to help them overcome the challenges that inevitably arise long after the deal has closed.”
Corey Kaplan provides practical and effective solutions for large-scale office and retail leasing transactions, real estate acquisitions and sales, real estate financings and construction agreements. He helps landlords, tenants, sellers and purchasers overcome complex challenges and close deals as efficiently as possible.
Whether he’s negotiating the lease of a 3,000 square-foot office space or 500,000 square feet in an office tower, Corey is ready to guide clients through the legal implications of their agreements and anticipate issues that can arise in the process. Regardless of the complexity of the transaction or sophistication of the parties, he addresses the challenges presented to his clients in an efficient and knowledgeable manner.

For spaces and/or buildings yet to be built, he helps tenants negotiate appropriate protections with respect to how the building will be developed and maximize their flexibility with respect to the construction process, including expansion options, contraction options, signage rights and numerous other rights and obligations.
He also handles a wide variety of transactions, from acquisitions and sales to financings and a range of construction and professional service agreements. Corey’s meticulous attention to detail and ability to communicate productively with stakeholders enables him to manage document-heavy, multi-party deals, including 1031 transactions.
