Welch Consulting and Davis+Gilbert will host a joint breakfast seminar titled, “Pay Equity: A Practical Guide” to be held at the firm’s office in New York on June 6. David Fisher, Labor + Employment counsel, will speak alongside Jora B. Stixrud, Ph.D., Senior Economist, Welch Consulting.
New Equal Employment Opportunity Commission regulations require employers to provide more information to the government than ever before. This information can be used to trigger audits and investigations that can result in significant monetary liability for employers. Accordingly, it is essential that employers evaluate their pay practices to identify and correct disparities within their workforces.
To aid employers, this seminar will discuss practical ways to proactively address potential risks, including the use of statistical analyses, to mitigate the risk of expensive government audits and litigation. This seminar will examine:
- Federal EEO regulations and reporting obligations and the impact of the Trump administration
- State and local legislation aimed at ending unequal pay practices
- Audits and Investigations: Evaluating and addressing issues before they arise
- Employer best practices
