New York City SHRM Legislative and Legal Conference

On October 28, Jessica Golden Cortes, Davis+Gilbert Labor + Employment partner, will moderate the New York City SHRM Legislative and Legal Conference and Sharon Cohen, Davis+Gilbert Labor + Employment associate, will speak during a session titled “COVID 19 & Return to Work” on October 28 at the Legislative & Legal Conference, hosted by New York City SHRM.

Session Overview

With the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine well underway and the lifting of various restrictions at the federal and local levels, employers now must navigate the logistics of returning to the office. Returning to in-person work presents a host of compliance, legal and employee relation issues, including vaccination considerations and the imposition of state-specific workplace safety standards. This presentation will address best practices and compliance considerations for returning to the office, including mandatory vs. encouraged vaccination, reopening guidance, and state safety standards (such as the New York HERO Act).
