NEW YORK – July 18, 2023 – Davis+Gilbert announced it has elected partners Brooke Erdos Singer and Jim Levine to the firm’s Executive Committee.
Brooke and Jim have been with the firm since 1999 and 2007, respectively, and were inaugural members of the firm’s Growth + Planning Committee. Established in 2019, the committee focuses on firm growth initiatives, including business development, talent enhancement, technology, and knowledge management, and its members are appointed by the EC. It was designed to provide opportunities for the future leaders of the firm.
Brooke and Jim join the following EC members: Joseph Cioffi, Gregg Gilman, Jennifer Klausner, Mark Maltz, Curt Myers, Brad Schwartzberg, and Ronald Urbach. Long-time firm partner Michael Lasky will transition off the Executive Committee and remain co-chair of the firm’s Litigation + Dispute Resolution practice. Joseph, Jennifer and Mark were all elected to the EC within the past four years. Replacements for Brooke and Jim on the Growth + Planning Committee will be appointed by the EC in the fall.
“We are thrilled to welcome Brooke and Jim to the EC and thank Michael for his many contributions to the committee and all that he will continue to do to support the firm and its growth,” said Curt Myers, chairman of Davis+Gilbert. “The Growth + Planning Committee was established to tap into the many talented people at the firm and to cultivate future firm leaders, such as Brooke and Jim. We applaud their commitment to Davis+Gilbert and to helping guide its future success.”
Brooke, who is a partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property + Media practice, advises a wide variety of U.S. and international clients that range from startups to celebrities and iconic brands on all matters relating to trademark, contract, advertising and marketing issues businesses face.
Jim, who is a partner in the firm’s Litigation + Dispute Resolution practice, represents blue-chip global corporations and financial institutions, mid-sized businesses and private equity-funded startups in complex commercial litigation, including litigating multilayered contractual disputes, corporate governance disputes, and disputes related to middle-market mergers and acquisitions.
