Press Release - September 17, 2020

Davis+Gilbert Introduces Pronoun Usage in Email Signatures

As part of the firm’s ongoing efforts to foster a workplace that is diverse and inclusive, Davis+Gilbert has encouraged all employees to include preferred pronouns in their email signatures.

Using a person’s desired pronouns — ex: he/him/his, she/her/hers or they/them/theirs — shows respect for that person and limits errors by a speaker or writer based on gender or gender identity assumptions. Adding this information to one’s email signature line promotes gender inclusivity and LGBTQ+ allyship not just within the firm, but within the personal and professional communities in which we communicate and interact.

Davis+Gilbert understands that diversity is essential to the success of our firm and that it is important to deploy the widest range of ideas, experiences and approaches toward that end.
