Devin A. Kothari
Partner, Intellectual Property and Digital Media, Technology & Privacy
Devin routinely counsels emerging companies, developers, streaming services, social media platforms, medtech and fintech companies and digitally-focused retailers, brands, media houses and agencies on how to protect, commercialize and enforce their intellectual property. His practice focuses extensively on patent counseling and litigation, including advice on the appropriate forms of intellectual property protection, patent prosecution strategies, patentability, freedom to operate and invalidity issues, patent licensing matters and resolution of patent troll and competitor disputes in all forums. In addition, Devin has an active computing and digital media practice, with extensive experience advising on privacy, data security, open source and other computer technology legal issues. Currently, he is representing a leading advertising agency holding company on a network-wide policy for identifying and managing patent infringement risk. He also recently represented a number of website development firms in disputes over patent troll claims. Devin received his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and his B.A. and B.A.S. from the University of Pennsylvania.
H. Seiji Newman
Partner, Insolvency, Creditors’ Rights & Financial Products and Litigation
Seiji is a litigator with extensive experience in a broad range of commercial matters, including disputes and class actions relating to the financial services sector, bankruptcy and structured finance. He practices in federal and state courts, at both the trial and appellate levels, representing a wide spectrum of clients as both plaintiff and defendant. Recently, Seiji successfully defended a multi-billion dollar transportation company at trial in an adversary proceeding relating to the purported assignment of bankruptcy claims. Currently, he is defending a global financial institution in an $800 million RMBS litigation and a global financial institution in a fraudulent transfer action brought by the Madoff trustee seeking recovery of hundreds of millions of dollars. Seiji received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Pace University.
Jacklyn M. Siegel
Counsel, Litigation and Intellectual Property
Jackie’s practice includes a broad range of intellectual property, complex commercial and employment issues and disputes. She regularly represents clients in intellectual property disputes related to copyrights, trademarks, trade dress, rights of publicity, trade secrets, unfair competition and false advertising. Jackie also represents companies and individuals in a variety of industries in commercial litigation matters related to breaches of contracts, fraud, mergers and acquisitions, payment and ownership interest disputes and business torts. Recently, Jackie successfully obtained the voluntary withdrawal of trademark, right of publicity, and unfair competition claims asserted against a global advertising agency and consumer products company. She is currently representing a leading advertising agency holding company in a multimillion dollar dispute involving a corporate acquisition. A former law clerk to the Honorable Richard M. Berman of the U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York, Jackie received her J.D. from the New York University School of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Duke University.
Lindsay Waiser

Lindsay is involved in all aspects of the corporate practice, including advising clients with respect to stock and asset acquisitions, representing both buyers and sellers, as well as shareholder and operating agreements, entity formation and day-to-day corporate matters, employment and non-competition agreements and phantom equity and related arrangements. She represents companies across a wide range of industries, including marketing communications, hospitality and life sciences. Most recently, Lindsay represented a digital agency in its acquisition of a multicultural agency and represented the owners of a creative advertising agency, specializing in gaming and streaming entertainment, in the sale of their majority equity interest to a global advertising company. Lindsay received her J.D., magna cum laude, from New York Law School and her B.B.A. from Emory University.
Matt Hanley
Senior Attorney, Corporate
Matt focuses on corporate transactions, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions. He also assists clients in structuring and negotiating employment and non-competition agreements, purchase agreements, shareholder agreements and other general corporate matters. Matt’s recent representations include Resy Network, Inc. in its sale to American Express, a leading advertising agency holding company in several acquisition and disposition transactions and several start-ups in a variety of venture capital transactions. Matt received his J.D. from New York University School of Law and his B.A., magna cum laude, from New York University.
