AdExchanger | The Delete Act: ‘A Fantastically Flawed Attempt at Solving a Critical Problem’

On September 14, the California State Legislature passed the Delete Act. If signed into law, the bill, set to take effect in 2026, would give California residents a platform to easily request that their personal information be deleted and stop further collection by data brokers. Data + Privacy partner, Gary Kibel, was quoted in the AdExchanger article “The Delete Act: ‘A Fantastically Flawed Attempt At Solving A Critical Problem’” sharing his thoughts on what the Delete Act would mean for the ad tech industry if signed into law in its current form.
