Gregg A. Gilman, Davis+Gilbert Labor + Employment Co-Chair, will speak at four sessions during the 2018 National HR in Hospitality Conference & Expo, taking place in Las Vegas, NV on March 5-7.
Session Overviews
Mr. Gilman will speak during the session titled “50 Legal Tips in 50 Minutes.” He and his co-presenters will present practical tips for HR professionals on critical employment and labor law issues such as sexual harassment, wage and hour issues, pay equity, the changes in the NLRB and DOL, recent Supreme Court cases, state and local trends, and other key topics.
Mr. Gilman will also speak during the session titled, “Bonus LAW Roundtable 1.” He and his co-presenters will explore the hottest issues percolating in the labor and employment law space.
Mr. Gilman will also speak during the session titled, “LAW 7 DOL Update,” where he and his co-presenter will discuss topics such as the Trump Administration’s DOL, deregulation agenda and repeal of Obama-era priorities, exemptions and minimum salary thresholds, and other recent DOL activity. They will also delve into whether the lax in pressure from the federal court is truly a cause for celebration, and if the states, plaintiff’s lawyers and courts are picking up where the Obama DOL left off.
Mr. Gilman is also a panelist during the session titled “9th Annual Cornell University Executive Summit.” He and his co-panelists will discuss, debate, agree, and agree to disagree on a handful of wide-ranging and taxing HR topics that hospitality companies deal with each day. This simulated executive meeting will probe the significant challenges facing the hospitality space currently, as well as the root cause of those vexing issues.
