Practising Law Institute’s Employment Law Institute 2019 | Gender Identity and Expression in the Workplace

Jessica Golden Cortes, Davis+Gilbert, Labor + Employment partner, and her co-presenters James D. Esseks, Director of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender & HIV Project at the ACLU Foundation, and Melissa R. Gold, Associate General Counsel and Managing Director at BNY Mellon, will speak during a session titled “Gender Identity and Expression in the Workplace” at the Practising Law Institute’s Employment Law Institute to be held in New York on October 16.

This session will cover:

  • Updates on Supreme Court cases about LGBTQ discrimination under Title VII
  • Current positions of Trump Administration and the EEOC on gender identity and expression in the workplace; the transgender military ban, and related issues
