Davis+Gilbert has added prominent trusts and estates lawyer Herbert E. Nass as a partner in the Private Client Services practice. Nass will co-chair the practice alongside the current practice chair, Alan D. Kroll.
Author of “The 101 Biggest Estate Planning Mistakes” and “Wills of the Rich & Famous,” Nass joins from Herbert E. Nass & Associates, which he founded in 1990, after beginning his career with New York law firms Paul Weiss and Tenzer Greenblatt.
“Trusts and estates law has been busier than ever, and it often attracts other important business, such as litigation matters,” Kroll said. “We have been partnering so much that with Herb’s broad client base, it just made sense to combine so that we could more seamlessly continue to work closely together.”
Nass frequently represents individuals and estates of internationally renowned musicians, visual artists and authors, among a wide range of clients.
“Davis+Gilbert could not be more welcoming to me and my team,” Nass said. Having known and worked with them over the years has made the transition so much easier. “I look forward to leading the Private Client Services practice alongside Alan to build the business and cultivate the next generation of trusts and estates leaders,” Nass said.
Nass brings his entire team with him, including senior attorney Kira L. Polner, associate Justin D. Goldberg and paralegals Lindsay E. Blodgett, Molly J. Blodgett and Taylor H. Mitchell. Office manager Jed Q. Peterson will also join as an administrative assistant.
