John P. Seligman is of counsel in the Real Estate Practice Group of Davis & Gilbert with over 40 years of experience. His practice is concentrated in the real estate field, including commercial leasing, acquisitions, planning and development, including design and architectural contracts associated with construction projects. He also has experience in the financing aspects of real estate transactions.

REPRESENTATIVE ENGAGEMENTS

  • Represented Publicis Groupe, a multinational advertising agency, in the renewal and expansion of its lease at 1675 Broadway for approximately 580,000 square feet.
  • Represented Ross Procurement, a major department store chain, in its purchase of 1372 Broadway, a 21-story building with approximately 550,000 square feet of rentable space, as well as its previous sublease of 46,000 square feet at the building from the former owner.
  • Represented MediaMath, a digital marketing technology company, in their lease of approximately 106,000 square feet located at 4 World Trade Center.
  • Represented Omnicom Group Inc. and its affiliates in the leasing of 194,000 square feet at 200 Varick Street, New York City and 159,000 square feet at One Hudson Square, New York City.
  • Represented The Segal Co. in the leasing of 161,000 square feet at 333 West 34th Street, New York City.
  • Represented Young & Rubicam in the purchase of a commercial condominium unit and leasing of additional premises (totaling 339,132 square feet) at 3 Columbus Circle, New York City.
  • Represented an American multinational apparel company in its construction and design contracts for its East Coast office headquarters.
  • Represented the Lower East Side Tenement Museum in its construction and design contracts of its new headquarters at Orchard Street, New York City.
  • Represented the Landmarc restaurant in the Time Warner Center, New York City, in their construction and design contracts.
  • Represented Avenues: The World School in the leasing, design and construction contracts for its first school on West 26th Street, New York City.
  • Represented Young & Rubicam in the sale of their 285 Madison Avenue, New York City headquarters building.
  • Represented Aurora Bank in the sale of a commercial building in Boston, MA and Lehman Brothers in the sale of a commercial building in Acton, MA.
  • Represented a purchaser of two commercial buildings on Livingston St., Brooklyn, New York.
  • Represented the owners in the sale of two commercial buildings on West 47th Street, New York City.
  • Represented a borrower in the $15 million refinancing of a commercial building in Philadelphia, PA.
