Leslie G. Kanter is counsel in the Real Estate Practice Group of Davis & Gilbert. She has over 25 years of experience representing clients in a wide range of real estate transactions, including financing, development and conveyancing. Ms. Kanter’s practice has a special emphasis representing both landlords and tenants in the leasing of retail, office, industrial and warehouse premises throughout the country.

REPRESENTATIVE ENGAGEMENTS

  • Represented Rockefeller Center in the negotiation of numerous retail leases, including FAO Schwarz, Maje, Free People, J. Crew, by CHLOE., All Saints, Paper Source, Nanoosh, Juice Press, Del Frisco’s Grill, Blue Bottle, The Art of Shaving, Michael Kors and Jacques Torres.
  • Represented Dylan’s Candy Bar in the negotiation of numerous retail leases throughout the country.
  • Represented UBS Financial Services in connection with the negotiation of leases for retail and office premises throughout the country.
  • Represented UBS Financial Services, as a sublandlord, in connection with the subleasing of more than 300,000 rentable square feet in a building in Stamford, CT.
  • Represented an accounting firm and a financial services firm in connection with full floor leases in a class-A office building in midtown Manhattan.
  • Represented Pret A Manger in connection with the negotiation of more than 30 restaurant leases in New York City and Washington, D.C.
  • Represented a number of New York City owners in leasing transactions, including Thor Equities and Monday Properties.
  • Represented the owner of a building in Philadelphia in connection with the negotiation of a new lease with an existing tenant for 560,000 square feet for the tenant’s disaster recovery operations.
  • Represented The Feil Organization in the negotiation of a lease with The City University of New York for 150,000 square feet of space in Long Island City, Queens, for part of CUNY’s expansion of its campus in Long Island City.
  • Represented a major bank in connection with its initial roll-out of financial services centers in the tri-state area (negotiated and consummated more than 130 leases).
  • Represented a college that grants degrees in technological fields and related subjects in connection with the sublease of 34,000 square feet of office space in New York City.
  • Represented a major New York City-based law firm in connection with the negotiation of a lease for 180,000 square feet of office space in New York City.
  • Represented Donna Karan in connection with the negotiation of retail leases throughout the country.
