Steven Weinberger is an experienced real estate leasing attorney who leverages practical real estate and business experience to structure, negotiate and close complex real estate transactions effectively and efficiently.
With more than 25 years of real estate leasing experience in private practice and as in-house counsel, Steven represents a range of landlords, institutional owners, real estate investment trusts and family-owned businesses, as well as local, regional and national tenants. A strategic thinker, he helps clients negotiate their leases, subleases and related real estate documents while uncovering and addressing potential issues that can arise.
Steven spent more than 10 years as in-house counsel at two large real estate companies, making him uniquely positioned to anticipate and address a client’s legal and business needs. He also possesses an in-depth understanding of financing learned while working as a credit-trained real estate lender early in his career. Clients value that he applies practical business experience and perspective to protecting their interests in major transactions.
Within his practice, Steven has developed experience in last-mile logistics properties.
Advised a large multinational development company in leasing-up the retail space at its newly constructed urban regeneration projects. These transactions involved the long-term leasing of highly visible ground floor space to local retailers/restauranteurs, providing amenities critical to the new development’s success.
Representing one of the largest communications groups in connection with their corporate real estate transactions throughout North America.
Representing a New York City-based commercial landlord in connection with the leasing matters for its New York City-based real estate portfolios.
