Michael McKeown helps ensure all the important bases are covered for major corporate transactions. From legal due diligence to governing documents, Michael assists clients on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and strategic alliances. He also helps clients manage corporate issues with existing or newly acquired portfolio companies.

Practical and relatable, Michael is interested in learning the client’s business and committed to always finding the right answer to properly advise them. As a strong team player and detailed listener, Michael makes sure all critical client concerns are heard and addressed in a timely fashion throughout every engagement.

Whether working on entity formation, managing documents and relations between co-sponsors or helping navigate the representation and warranty insurance process, Michael is a responsive collaborator and contributor to team success. With his experience advising portfolio companies on commercial legal matters, corporate governance and capital fundraising, Michael understands how to navigate the various nuances of complex agreements.

Before joining Davis+Gilbert, Michael was an associate at Ropes & Gray where he focused on private equity mergers and equity transactions, counseling large private equity firms on portfolio acquisitions and general corporate management.
