Davis & Gilbert LLP Announces Three New Partners And One Counsel

NEW YORK, December 14, 2007 — Davis & Gilbert LLP, one of the world’s leading advertising, marketing and communications law firms, today announced the election of Jason Abramson, Gary Kibel and Matthew Schneider to the partnership, and Jesse Schneider to Counsel, effective January 1, 2008.

New Davis & Gilbert Partners:

Jason Abramson, 35, is involved in all aspects of the firm’s Corporate practice and has a particular expertise in venture capital and private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, banking and other financing transactions.  Among his financing experience, Jason has handled private placements of debt and equity securities, asset-backed structured financings and bank loans for many clients in diversified fields of industries.  Jason also frequently represents individuals in connection with the formation or sale of their businesses and counsels clients in structuring and negotiating joint venture, partnership, shareholder and limited liability company agreements as well as employment and non-competition agreements for executives and other highly compensated employees.  Jason received his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1994, and his J.D., cum laude, from Fordham University Law School in 1999.

Gary Kibel, 39, practices in the firm’s New Media, Intellectual Property and Advertising, Marketing and Promotions Groups.  He regularly counsels clients regarding advertising and technology issues including interactive advertising and new media services, promotions, licensing, wireless services, privacy and data security and technology acquisition and implementation matters.   Prior to becoming an attorney, Gary was an Information Systems Analyst in the Investment Banking Division of Merrill Lynch & Co.  He is a frequent speaker at industry and legal conferences and has written extensively on advertising and technology issues involving intellectual property and new media.  Gary received his B.A. from Binghamton University in 1990, his M.B.A. from Binghamton University’s School of Management in 1992, and his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1999.

Matthew Schneider, 34, maintains a broad-based corporate practice, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and financings. He also assists clients in structuring and negotiating employment and non-competition agreements, joint venture agreements, shareholder agreements and other general corporate matters.  Matthew received his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in 1995, and his J.D. from Fordham School of Law in 1999.

Jesse Schneider, 34, practices in the firm’s Litigation practice group and has represented companies in complex contractual issues, mediation, arbitration, real estate, new media, bankruptcy, and general commercial litigation matters.  He has developed a particular expertise and routinely provides guidance to advertising agencies and other clients on debtor/creditor issues, including bankruptcy.  In addition, Jesse has particular experience in real estate litigation and has represented both tenants and landlords in connection with complex lease disputes, Yellowstone injunctions, constructive eviction matters, and mechanics’ liens.  Before joining Davis & Gilbert in May 2000, Jesse was an associate of Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson.  He received his B.A., summa cum laude, from Brandeis University in 1995, and his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1998.
