EW YORK, July 6, 2006 — Chambers and Partners has ranked Davis & Gilbert LLP as the number one New York law firm in the category of “Media & Entertainment: Advertising” in the 2006 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business.

Recognized as "an excellent, expert group,” clients described Davis & Gilbert as “the number-one firm for advertising agency work."  Clients boasted of the firm’s extensive experience in all aspects of agency-related matters and how they’re undoubtedly one of the busiest firms in the field.

Co-chair Ron Urbach is described as "one of the smartest lawyers around and knows this area better than the back of his hand."  Fellow co-chair Gerald Schwartz was recognized as "a busy, experienced lawyer" with excellent skills in dealing with talent.

One of the firm’s most prominent groups – the advertising, marketing and promotions group – was recommended as having "across the board, the highest caliber of lawyers," and is regarded as being "extremely strong on advertising agreements and clearance matters, and one of the first ports of call for regulatory issues."

The firm ranked above Kramer Levin (#2), Patterson Belknap (#3), and Proskauer Rose (#4).
