Davis & Gilbert Attorneys Michael C. Lasky And Brad Schwartzberg On Faculty Of Public Relations Agency Management Conference

NEW YORK, February 16, 2006 — Davis & Gilbert announced today that partners Michael C. Lasky and Brad Schwartzberg would be participating as speakers at the Strategic and Financial Best Practices For Public Relations Agency Management conference on April 6-7, 2006 at The Princeton Club in New York City.

Mr. Lasky is co-chair of the two-day event and will moderate a panel of experts titled, "Ways to Pay: State-of-the-Art Compensation Techniques." He will also lead a session titled, “The Intersection of Legality, Credibility and Ethics: Deconstructing the Armstrong Williams Controversy.”

Mr. Schwartzberg will present a session titled, "What You Need to Know About Selling a PR Firm."  He will also be a featured panelist for the discussion, "Today’s Agency of Tomorrow: Blogs, Wikis & Podcasting."

Mr. Lasky is co-chairman of the Litigation Department and a partner in the Employment Practices Group of Davis & Gilbert LLP.  He regularly advises public relations executives and owners in connection with their employment, shareholder, incentive compensation and related arrangements.  A noted authority on the use and enforceability of various post-employment restrictions on competition and the movement of talent between competitive organizations, he has been quoted by The Wall Street Journal, Newsday, Institutional Investor and other leading general and trade publications.
Mr. Schwartzberg, co-chairman of the Corporate Department of Davis & Gilbert LLP, has extensive experience representing public relations and advertising agencies in mergers and acquisitions, financings, and securities matters.  His general corporate practice involves negotiating and advising clients in connection with acquisition agreements and divestitures (both public and private), employment agreements, non-competition agreements, commercial financings, debt and equity investments, as well as providing counsel on daily corporate matters.
