Davis & Gilbert Attorneys Ronald R. Urbach And Brad J. Schwartzberg To Serve As Co-Chair And Faculty In Leading Advertising Agency Industry Conference On Profitability In March 2005

NEW YORK, February 2, 2005 — Davis & Gilbert announced today that partners Ronald R. Urbach and Brad J. Schwartzberg would be participating as co-chair and faculty in a leading advertising agency industry conference on profitability.

On March 3-4, in New York City, Ronald R. Urbach, a partner in and co-chair of Davis & Gilbert's Advertising, Marketing & Media Department, and John B. Adams, Jr., Chairman and and CEO of The Martin Agency, will co-chair "The Advertising Agency Profitability Forum," sponsored by Northstar Conferences. Mr. Urbach will also be speaking on "Negotiating Agency-Client to Best Advantage in the World of Procurement."

Ronald R. Urbach is considered one of the country's leading advertising, promotion and marketing lawyers. His clients include numerous multinational, national and regional advertising agencies, including those agencies that are viewed as being the top creative agencies in the world. Agency clients include the full range of below the line agencies from promotion, direct marketing, telemarketing, public relations, health care, interactive, event and other businesses. Some of the largest advertisers and marketers in many different product categories are his clients, including those in the automotive, telecommunications, wireless communication, video games, consumer electronics, publishing, membership services, cable television, entertainment, internet, alcoholic beverages, magazines and travel sectors.

Brad J. Schwartzberg, a partner in and co-chair of Davis & Gilbert's Corporate Department, will also serve as faculty on the program. Mr. Schwartzberg will discuss "Adding Value to the Agency Acquisition Process."  Mr. Schwartzberg is an expert in mergers and acquisitions, financings, and securities. His general corporate practice involves negotiating and advising clients in connection with acquisition agreements and divestitures (both public and private), employment agreements, non-competition agreements, commercial financings, debt and equity investments, as well as providing counsel on daily corporate matters. Mr. Schwartzberg has represented a number of major marketing communications services companies in transactions involving the purchase and sale of both assets and stock, domestically and abroad. He has also provided corporate representation to the Council of Public Relations Firms since its inception in 1998.
