Davis & Gilbert Partner Howard Rubin To Speak At Leading Public Relations Industry Forum

NEW YORK, October 12, 2005 — Davis & Gilbert announced today that Howard Rubin would be participating as a panelist at the Council of Public Relations Firms conference, "A Forum on Critical Issues Forum Looking At How Changing Communications Platforms and Talent Issues Are Impacting the Business" on October 26, 2005 in New York City at the Regency Hotel.  Davis & Gilbert is serving as a program sponsor of this event.

In a session titled, "What the People You Want Will Want From You," Mr. Rubin will discuss how to keep corporate business strategies aligned with hiring and retention practices.

Howard J. Rubin is co-chairman of the Litigation Department and Employment Practices Group of Davis & Gilbert LLP. Mr. Rubin has defended numerous First Amendment, libel and slander, copyright, breach of contract and securities fraud cases. He represented the Association of National Advertisers, the American Advertising Federation, and the American Association of Advertising Agencies as amicus curiae before the United States Supreme Court in Nike v. Kasky; a First Amendment commercial speech case, concerning a corporation's right to speak freely on matters of public concern and one of the most watched and anticipated free speech cases in the last 20 years.
