Davis & Gilbert Attorney Steven M. Manket Will Be Featured Panelist At Upcoming Litigation & Business Law Event

NEW YORK, October 11, 2005 — Davis & Gilbert announced today that partner Steven M. Manket would be participating as a featured panelist for a litigation and business law event entitled, “Litigation vs. Business Law: A Comparison,” held at Brooklyn Law School. On Thursday, October 20, 2005 in Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Manket will be on a panel discussing the differences between litigation and transactional practice. He will also talk about corporate law and how it compares to a litigation practice.

Steven M. Manket is a partner in the Corporate Department of Davis & Gilbert LLP.  He has broad experience in general corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, merchant banking and private equity transactions.  Mr. Manket regularly represents both acquirors and sellers as well as financing sources in mergers and acquisitions and issuers and investors in complex venture capital and private equity investments.  His clients include companies in the fields of merchant and investment banking, private equity and venture capital, high technology, advertising and communications, new media, telecommunications, radio and television, publishing, manufacturing, restaurants, biotechnology, consumer products, software development and banking.  Mr. Manket is regularly retained as special counsel to represent parties in strategic alliance, joint venture, technology licensing and debt and equity financing transactions.  His practice has involved matters in Canada, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom.
