"Programmatic Media – The Business and Legal Perspectives"

July 28, 2016

Davis & Gilbert is a proud sponsor of The Advertising Club of New York’s INNOVATE:NY program to be held in New York on July 28. This invitation-only program is one in a series of business solution programs.

Gary A. Kibel, Davis & Gilbert Digital Media, Technology & Privacy partner, and his co-speakers Eve Filip, deputy general counsel at Rubicon Project, and Megan Hartman, director of programmatic solutions at Time Inc. Corporate, will speak during a session titled “Programmatic Media – The Business and Legal Perspectives.”

Session Overview
Programmatic media has grown rapidly as a percentage of the online media-buying landscape in recent years and now represents tens of billions of dollars in digital ad spend globally. Participants in this ecosystem include start-ups, ad tech businesses such as demand-side platforms (DSPs), supply-side platforms (SSPs) and data management platforms (DMPs) along with traditional media players such as publishers, advertisers and agencies. This session will explore best practices in the programmatic space from a business and operational perspective and the unique legal, contractual and regulatory issues that apply to this fast-growing and increasingly important portion of the media industry. This session will leave attendees with an understanding of:

  • The various participants and roles in the programmatic ecosystem
  • Programmatic best practices and industry standards
  • Contractual concerns dealing with parties in the programmatic industry
  • Regulatory and legislative hot topics
