Gary A. Kibel, Davis & Gilbert Digital Media, Technology & Privacy Partner, is the Institute Chair of the New York City Bar Association all-day program.

Program Overview
Privacy and data security issues are no longer just key concerns for companies and individuals. These issues are now among the most discussed, debated and evolving areas of our society. From individuals to corporate executives to world leaders, privacy is a critical issue. Every business needs to elevate privacy and data security issues to the highest levels, stay abreast of the ever-changing legal landscape and continually analyze and modify their internal and external information practices. This program will examine the latest issues facing corporate America and how businesses should address the risks and rewards in our information and digital society.

Keynote speakers to include Robert S. Mueller, III, former director of the FBI and Maneesha Mithal, Associate Director of Privacy and Identity Protection at the Federal Trade Commission.

In addition to chairing the program, Mr. Kibel will also speak during a session titled “Risks and Rewards of Big Data – surveillance, corporate monitoring and more.”
