Complying with the FTC’s Final Amendments to its COPPA Rule:
What You Need to Know

Davis & Gilbert and the Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) of the Council of Better Business Bureaus present an in-depth seminar on the recent amendments to the FTC’s COPPA Rule. The amendments update the COPPA Rule in a number of ways, including expanding the types of companies required to obtain parental consent before collecting personal information from children under thirteen, as well as the types of information that would require parental consent.

This seminar will discuss:

  • How the COPPA amendments will affect your business and what other business are doing in response to the amendments
  • CARU’s response to the amendments, in particular how these changes will affect the CARU Guidelines
  • Best practices for complying with the COPPA amendments
