
Maureen McLoughlin is a partner in the Litigation and Labor & Employment Practice Groups of Davis & Gilbert. Her practice involves counseling clients on advertising, employment, transactional and strategic issues that arise in an ever-changing media landscape. She is called upon frequently by clients located across the country to help avoid and control legal and business disputes.
Ms. McLoughlin has nearly 20 years of experience as a negotiator and litigator representing publicly-traded and privately held companies in a wide range of commercial disputes in federal and state courts and in arbitrations. She litigates commercial actions involving contract interpretation, restrictive covenants, unfair competition claims, false advertising, privacy rights, shareholder and partnership issues and statutory causes of action.
Ms. McLoughlin also has extensive knowledge of numerous states’ employment laws and has significant experience mediating, arbitrating and litigating employment actions for clients in a broad spectrum of businesses, including cases involving whistleblower claims, intellectual property issues involving current or former employees, discrimination, harassment, contract disputes, breach of fiduciary duties, wrongful termination, retaliation, defamation and employee benefits.
In addition, Ms. McLoughlin regularly negotiates and drafts executive employment agreements, termination packages, releases and employment policies and procedures. She also conducts customized trainings for clients on a variety of management-focused business, legal and employment issues.
