Robert A. Karin is a partner in the Real Estate Practice Group of Davis & Gilbert. He has over 35 years of experience representing a broad array of businesses in the buying, selling, developing, leasing and financing of real property throughout the United States. Mr. Karin’s representation includes several major banks and asset-based lenders, national retailers, regional developers, and landlords of office, commercial, loft, mixed-use and hotel properties.

A substantial portion of Mr. Karin’s practice is devoted to negotiating and structuring acquisitions of retail and commercial properties and retail and office leases. His practice includes representation of some of the leading retailers and financial institutions in the United States, as well as prominent owners and developers. Mr. Karin’s tenant work includes representation of McDonald’s Corporation, Uniqlo, Panera Bread, Chick-fil-A, Pret A Manger, Milos, David Bouley, Marc Murphy and many other prominent retailers, as well as UBS Financial Services and its affiliates, Bank of America and The Blackstone Group. Among owners and developers, his representation includes The Feil Organization, Basser Kaufman, Metropolitan Realty Group and Wharton Realty Group.

Mr. Karin was named to the 2013 and 2014 BTI Client Service All-Stars list for outstanding client service. He was also recognized by The Legal 500 United States in the area of real estate for four consecutive years (2013-2016). In addition, Mr. Karin was also selected as a Super Lawyer by New York Metro Super Lawyers (2009-2016) and was recognized by The Best Lawyers in America in real estate law (2014-2017).

  • Represented WPS Advisors, an asset management firm, in connection with its office leasing in New York City.
  • Represented Highbrook Investment Management LLC., a hedge fund in connection with its office leasing in New York City.
