Kate Barry is an associate in the Advertising, Marketing & Promotions; Intellectual Property; and Entertainment, Media & Sports Practice Groups of Davis & Gilbert. She reviews advertising content, and works on issues involving copyright, rights of publicity and trademarks. Ms. Barry also deals with drafting contracts, including talent releases and sponsorship agreements.

Prior to joining Davis & Gilbert, Ms. Barry was a legal fellow at Gannett and the USA TODAY Network where she assisted on a variety of newsroom and advertising issues. While in law school, she worked as a student attorney for the Community and Economic Development Clinic, where she provided transactional and IP advice to non-profit and neighborhood-based organizations in Detroit. Ms. Barry also interned with the Office of the General Counsel at National Public Radio in Washington, DC.
