Truan Savage is an associate in the Advertising, Marketing & Promotions; Entertainment, Media & Sports; Digital Media, Technology & Privacy; and Intellectual Property Practice Groups of Davis & Gilbert. Mr. Savage advises advertising agencies, media companies and brands in connection with various aspects of advertising, digital media, entertainment and intellectual property matters. His practice involves counseling clients on their advertising campaigns from concept to execution, including by reviewing advertising copy, advising on false advertising and claim substantiation issues, clearing rights to third party intellectual property and negotiating talent agreements.

Mr. Savage has particular experience with music-related issues. He regularly negotiates a variety of music licenses, and advises clients in connection with live entertainment projects and the development and procurement of original music. Mr. Savage also has significant experience advising clients in connection with the development of branded and custom content, including the engagement of online influencers.

Prior to joining Davis & Gilbert, Mr. Savage was a summer associate at the firm. While in law school, he served as Executive Articles Editor for the Michigan Business & Entrepreneurial Law Review and as a student attorney for the Entrepreneurship Clinic. Prior to law school, Mr. Savage performed and recorded as a professional musician and composer.
