Josh J. Gordon is an associate in the Advertising, Marketing & Promotions; Entertainment, Media & Sports; Digital Media, Technology & Privacy; and Intellectual Property Practice Groups of Davis & Gilbert. Mr. Gordon represents media companies, advertising agencies, music production companies, public relations agencies and advertisers in connection with many areas of entertainment and sports, advertising, marketing and promotions law, as well as intellectual property issues. He regularly counsels advertisers, agencies and original content producers on complex issues related to branded and sponsored content development and native advertising. In the sports field, Mr. Gordon advises on all aspects of sports marketing, endorsements and sponsorships, including negotiating hundreds of millions of dollars worth of sport, stadium and other sponsorship deals.

Mr. Gordon works closely with production companies, producers, filmmakers, authors and publishers on all aspects of the development, production and distribution of entertainment content. He drafts and negotiates documents necessary throughout the production process, including option, production services, author and director agreements. He has also served as production counsel for television shows, digital video content and documentary films.

Prior to joining Davis & Gilbert, Mr. Gordon was a technology transactions and mergers and acquisitions attorney at White & Case LLP, where he routinely advised clients in the sports, media, fashion, health care and high-tech industries on all types of corporate and IP-related transactions. He also provided pro bono representation to numerous documentary filmmakers in the production and distribution of their films. Mr. Gordon previously worked as in-house counsel for WNET, New York’s PBS station.
